First, install RuffRuff Order Limits, introduced above, from the Shopify App Store.
You can find "RuffRuff Order Limits" by searching "ruffruff" in the Shopify App Store. Once you're on the RuffRuff Order Limits app page, click "Install".
Step 2: Select a Plan
The payment rule used in this article is available on the Light plan or higher. Choose Light or Full based on your billing period and whether you also need cumulative quantity rules. Annual billing saves the equivalent of two months. See the pricing plans for details.

(1) Select "Pricing plans" in the app
(2) Click "Change plan" for the plan you want to subscribe to

(3) Review the plan details and click "Approve"
Step 3: Create a Payment Rule
Once you've upgraded your plan, set up a payment rule. Use a payment rule to configure "hide Cash on Delivery for specific products".

(1) Select "Payment rules" in the app
(2) Click "Create rule"

(3) Enter any rule name in the title
(4) In the payment methods section, select "Cash on Delivery (COD)"
(5) In the products section, select the products for which you want to hide Cash on Delivery
(6) Click "Save"
Step 4: Verify It Works
Add the configured product to your cart and proceed to the checkout page to confirm that Cash on Delivery is hidden. If Cash on Delivery is hidden, the setup is complete.
Other Conditions for Hiding Cash on Delivery
Hide by Price (hide when the cart subtotal is ¥10,000 or more)

In the Orders section of the payment rule, select "Specific orders" and enter 10000 as the minimum price. This hides Cash on Delivery when the cart subtotal is ¥10,000 or more.
Hide by Specific Language (hide for English-speaking regions)

In the Languages section of the payment rule, select "Specific languages" and choose English. This hides Cash on Delivery when the online store's language is set to English.
Hide by Specific Customers (hide for guests)

In the Customers section of the payment rule, select "Guests". This hides Cash on Delivery for users who are not logged in.
Hide for Pre-order Items (hide when purchasing pre-order items)

In the Products section of the payment rule, select "Pre-order items". This hides Cash on Delivery when the cart contains a product being sold as a pre-order via RuffRuff Pre-orders.
What to Do If Cash on Delivery Isn't Hidden
1. You haven't selected the Light or Full plan
Payment rules require the Light plan or higher.
You must also select a plan on a development store, but Shopify processes it as a test subscription, so you won't be charged.
2. The rule isn't enabled
In this case, check the status of the relevant rule on the rules screen. If the status is "Disabled", change it to "Enabled" and check again.
3. It isn't the "Cash on Delivery" registered as a manual payment method

The setup method introduced in this article targets "Cash on Delivery" added as a Shopify manual payment method. If you're offering Cash on Delivery through an external payment service such as GMO Epsilon or KOMOJU, please refer to the help page below to adjust the payment method item in your payment rule, then check again.
