How to Offer Free Shipping When Purchased Together with a Specific Product
Preparation: Set Up the App
This article uses the Shopify app "RuffRuff Order Bonus." If you haven't installed RuffRuff Order Bonus yet, please install it first.
(1) Click "Enable app embed in your live theme" from the Setup guide on the app's top page.
(2) From the select box, choose the Shopify theme you want to add the app to.
(3) Click "Enable app."
(4) Enable "RuffRuff Order Bonus" on the left side of the theme editor.
(5) Click "Save" in the top right of the screen.
Step 1: Create a Campaign for Free Shipping When Purchased with a Specific Product
(1) Select "Discounts" from the left menu of the app.
(2) Click "Create campaign."
(3) Enter any name you like for the Campaign name.
ℹ️ The management name is used to manage the campaign within the app, while the public name is the one displayed to customers as the coupon code.
(4) Set the period you want to run the campaign for in Active dates.
(5) Add a "Cart item quantity" condition under Eligibility conditions.
(6) Configure the following in "Cart item quantity":
- Select "Greater than or equal to" and enter 1 in the input field.
- Select "Specific products" and choose the product that should trigger free shipping when purchased together.
(7) Configure the following in the benefit settings:
- Select "Shipping discount."
- Select "Percentage."
- Enter "100."
(8) Click "Save."
Step 2: Activate the Campaign
(1) Open the campaign you created in Step 1.
(2) Click "Activate."
Step 3: Test the Behavior
(1) Go to the checkout page with the cart not containing the target product.
(2) Confirm that the free shipping discount is not applied.
(3) Go to the checkout page with the cart containing the target product.
(4) Confirm that the free shipping discount is applied.
