Fixed an issue where the app's Authors list did not appear when the blog posts, pages, or products linked to an author could not be retrieved.
The problem
To show the "Applied" count for each author, the Authors list referenced the blog posts, pages, and products that the author was linked to. When those linked resources could not be retrieved, such as immediately after they were deleted, not only the Applied count but the retrieval of the Authors list itself failed, and authors could not be displayed.
Scope of impact
- Affected: The Authors list in the app admin and the Applied count shown there
- Impact: The Authors list did not appear. The Applied count and its breakdown by blog post, page, and product were not shown
- Not affected: Registered author profiles, display settings in your theme, and author profiles shown on your storefront
Resolution status
This was fixed on September 10, 2026. Instead of referencing the linked blog posts, pages, and products, the app now determines the resource type from the link information itself. As a result, the Authors list and the Applied count are displayed even when the linked resources cannot be retrieved.
Action required by store operators
This fix is applied automatically. No configuration changes are required. If the Authors list still does not appear, reload the app screen, and contact us if the problem persists.
