In RuffRuff Product & Blog Tags, you can now change the "selection mode (filtering behavior)" for when a tag is clicked.
Previously, only "multiple selection," which combines multiple tags, was available. With this update, you can now also choose "single selection," where the condition switches with each click. Please choose the mode that best fits your store's products and how your users search.
Difference Between Multiple Selection and Single Selection
Multiple Selection (AND Search)
Suitable when you want to narrow down content using detailed conditions.
(Example: searching for products in category "T-shirts" AND color "Red" AND size "M")
After selecting Tag A, clicking Tag B further narrows the results to "content that has both Tag A and Tag B."
Behavior Example (AND Search)
- Click Tag A → Products with "Tag A" are displayed
- Click Tag B as well → Products with both "Tag A" and "Tag B" are displayed
Single Selection
Suitable when you want to switch between categories or brands while browsing content. (Example: switching the display from "Tops" to "Bottoms")
After selecting Tag A, clicking Tag B deselects Tag A, and the display switches to "content that has Tag B."
Behavior Example (Switching)
- Click Tag A → Products with "Tag A" are displayed
- Then click Tag B → Products with "Tag B" are displayed (Tag A is deselected)
