Previously, before a sale started or after it ended, the "add to cart" button could only be automatically hidden. With this update, instead of hiding it, you can now choose to keep the button visible but disabled (grayed out).
Key features
- From the "Cart button" setting, you can choose how the button behaves outside the selling period: "Hide" (default) or "Disable" (stays visible, grayed out, and unclickable)
- Dynamic checkout buttons such as "Buy now" always remain hidden outside the selling period, regardless of this setting
- Existing settings are unaffected. If you don't change anything, the button will continue to behave as "Hide," just as before
This is useful when:
- You don't want to disrupt your product page layout (avoiding the extra whitespace left behind when the button disappears)
- You want to keep the button visible while still communicating that the product can't be purchased, similar to a "sold out" display
