We fixed bugs in RuffRuff Order Limits related to saving, disabling, and deleting rules.
Key points
- We fixed an inconsistency that occurred when saving a cumulative rule overlapped with enabling or disabling it.
- Rules whose related settings on the Shopify side have been deleted can now be deleted from the app.
- After a bulk action, the list now reflects the actual state of the rules.
Fix details
| When it occurs | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Disabling a cumulative rule while it is being saved | The rule may be disabled in the app while the limit still applies at checkout | The rule stays disabled after the save completes |
| Enabling a cumulative rule immediately after saving it | Saved settings can revert to the previous settings | The saved settings are kept |
| Related settings on the Shopify side have been deleted | An error prevents the rule from being deleted | You can disable or delete the rule. When you save or enable it, the app shows how to resolve the issue |
| Running a bulk action during a search or on page 2 | The list may not update to the state after the action | The list updates both when the action succeeds and when it fails partway through |
| Shopify's API is busy | Calculating cumulative totals fails temporarily | Retries after a short wait |
Active cumulative rules now enforce limits even while they are being saved. The "Remaining settings" list on the downgrade page also updates to the state after the action.
Scope and required actions
The fixes for rule actions and list updates apply to all rule types. The cumulative rule fixes apply to Cumulative quantity rules and Cumulative price rules on the Full plan.
Rules in normal use do not need any setting changes for this fix.
Recreate rules whose related settings on the Shopify side have been deleted, following the on-screen guidance. Deleting a cumulative rule also deletes the totals collected so far.
If an error appears when you save a cumulative rule, open that rule and save it again.
